HFC Plant Survey for Major Food Distributor

Another productive site visit to a major food distribution client completed – surveying an existing HFC refrigeration plant ahead of its transition to a CO₂ transcritical system.  The visit focused on understanding real site constraints before design begins:

-Existing pipe routes, risers and penetrations
-Condenser / gas cooler location & structural suitability
-Plant room layout and service access
-Potential installation & commissioning challenges
-Opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and maintainability

Replacement projects are always more than just replacing refrigerant. They require careful engineering to integrate modern, low-GWP technology into infrastructure that was never originally designed for it.

The goal is not only compliance and sustainability, but also reliability for store operations.
